The Bone Club is a melee weapon in Rust with a fairly good attack rate. It is geared toward allowing starting or respawned players to be more effective in melee combat. As with the Wooden Spear, its materials cost is very low. The Bone Club can also be thrown by equipping it in the hotbar and pressing right-click, forcefully hurling the object at least a few meters. It does not just drop the item, but will do damage if it hits an animal, player or structure. It can be retrieved by mousing over it and pressing the Use key (default "E").
The Club gathers 9 Wood per hit but is a poor ore gatherer. It is useful for breaking barrels, whether as the only weapon or to prevent decay of better weapons. Coupled with the high rate of the swings and low cost, it is a very good tool for the cost, bridging the gap between the Rock and the Stone Hatchet.
