The "Heat" status is exclusive to Experimental Rust and is seldom seen by many Rust players. The heat status occurs when the player becomes too hot, like for example wearing too much clothing in a desert or stepping on a campfire. The Heat status is more commonly seen as the effect "Too Hot" as it says in the lower-right corner of the player's UI, just above the vitals bars. The player will gradually take damage when this status is in effect, but it is easily avoided by caution and awareness of the player's body temperature. You can also avoid heat by less heavy body armor/clothes or by simply taking off your clothes, but that can lead to a weaker character that is more vulnerable to attack.
