The Pumpkin is a food item that can be physically found around the world. It is one of the few items that are involved with the new farming system in Experimental Rust. When eaten, a pumpkin restores 10 health, 100 hunger, and 15 thirst. Eating a Pumpkin can provide varying amounts of Pumpkin Seed, which can be planted and grown into more pumpkins.
Pumpkins can be interacted with and harvested; like mushrooms, they can be eaten. When eaten, they may give you Pumpkin Seeds, which can be planted. Each seed will yield two or more Pumpkins.
A good place to find pumpkins is by the river.
- Pumpkins can be placed on the players head and worn as headwear.
- The Pumpkin has durability and the lower it gets the less likely you will get seeds from eating it.
- Pumpkins were introduced as part of a new farming system in Experimental Rust.
- Pumpkins are currently one of three cultivars, the others being Corn (also edible), and Hemp Fibers, used for Crafting.
